How do i change my installer password to install java with yosemite
I recently upgraded my iMac to yosemite. I want to install Java but I have forgotten my installer password. How can I reset the password?

It's the same password used to log into your computer or upgrade it. There is no other "installer" password.
I typed it in and it still will not accept it to install java
try restarting it
try manually downloading the dmg file from oracle to be sure you are not just typing in your password in a phishing scam pop up dialog

i was able to change my apple id password but still my installer password doesn't work? PLEASE HELP!
