That is if you are wanting the iPhone to automatically backup at night when connected to Wi-Fi and power. You can backup the device at any time manually by going to Settings>iCloud>Backup>Backup Now.

Sep 24, 2015 8:27 AM in response to ChrisJ4203by rapid city,Thanks Chris. This is what I thought but wanted to make sure. The phone gave me an alert that it had not been backed up for 3 weeks and I wasn't sure why. I thought it might have been because I hadn't properly "locked the screen." Now I think it's because there's too much data to back up and I didn't leave it plugged in long enough. I started the manual backup process last night and it is still not done over 11 hours later. Is this within the realm of normal when there's a lot of photos to back up?

Sep 24, 2015 11:03 AM in response to rapid cityby ChrisJ4203,I very rarely use iCloud backup, but I would say that could have a lot to do with it. Both the amount of things to backup and the amount of space you have. It should have given you information about how big the backup was going to be. Are you using more than the 5GB of iCloud storage you have for free?
