Slow/Lag with the Latest 9.0.1 update for 6 Plus

I have an iPhone 6 Plus with 128 gigs. I purposely bought this size to prevent issues with updates but unfortunately size doesn't seem to matter. My phone is experiencing significant lags when using apps, also when opening/closing them. I went from having a phone I was in love with to now being super impatient and frustrated with it - the honeymoon is over. Any word on this issue? Any clue when this will be fixed or acknowledged?

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.

I would recommend to upgrade your iOS to 9.0.2. Majority of lags were fixed in that version.

Thanks for the continued responses. I did try doing a reset of my phone but it still had the lag issue. It's just not as quick as it used to be. I just installed the new update and while there is still a little lag when I double click to close out open apps, it does seem to be a slightly faster than before. I'm going to see if it continues to be smoother and faster than I have seen it these past weeks. Thanks for the suggestion.
