Are there any plusses or issues I should know about if I plan to use caffeine in Yosemite 10.10.5. I was told, by reliable techs, that I need this run my charts service which pay dearly for. The service requires JAVA, which is up todate and is on majority of the day. Any input will be appreciated. TY

The only Caffeine app I know of is the one to prevent the screen going to sleep, and doesn't involve Java.
Can you provide mored details about the app you are referring to?
Thank you for your interest. It is in the Apple app store produced by Light head, free... Called Caffeine. I am not certain if Java is or is no longer required using that program. Perhaps some additional input by the community will clarify.
It does not require Java. As I said, it is a script only for stopping a scheduled sleep of the screen - useful if playing back or streaming a video.
I have used it for years.
