Facetime locked me out on my laptop...my AppleID password works for everything else, just not faceTime...

I'm trying to log into my FaceTime account...It says I have a bad password and too many login attempts...the same password works for all of my other AppleID stuff...how do I reset it so my FaceTime account actually allows me to login?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

If you've enabled two-step verification for the Apple ID you're using in applications such as FaceTime and Messages, you may need to sign in to those applications with an app-specific password. You may also need to sign out of iCloud and sign back in.
