Q: Itunes iis not recognizing my iphone

I am trying o sync my iPhone 6 to my computer in ITunes before I upgrade to IPhone 6s. when I connect my phone and open iTunes it does not recognize my device. Any idea how to fix this. I have never had a problem in the past with previous iPhone's.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.1
