Q: Separating iPhones
When I bought my first Mac device I set up my apple id. Since then for convenience every device I have bought has been registered using the same apple id. It was convenient because I didn't have to set up multiple accounts and give credit card details each time.
Last week I bought my wife a new iPhone and took her old iPhone to use as my phone. I did a full reset to erase all her data and started using the phone. Now we have a very confused system. People calling my number show up on her phone. Text messages for me go to her phone too. My iPad has started getting her iMessages. And all three devices start ringing when an incoming FaceTime call comes in.
My question therefore is: how do I separate the two phones? Do I have to create a new apple id? If I create a new apple id will I lose all the data on my phone? What is the best way to manage this situation.

Check this article about it:

To separate the phones, make sure that each phone has it's own number or unique mail address selected, and all other numbers or mail addresses are not selected under "Send&Receive at"
