Did you check trash? Look in your back up drive.
Ciao.
Trash = barking up the right tree?
OP does not say iPhoto or Photos
In iPhoto, there is an internal trash - like iMovie, etc.
move to trash = CMD + delete - OR - File 'Move to trash'
UNDO to which the OP refers
IF the OP has not EMPTIED the internal trash, there may be hope (although I cannot figure out where these images go - certainly not the Finder Trash)
Can't be in trash because I didn't 'delete' it. I used command+z (which undid my transfer of files)
Also, it's not in my clipboard because I dragged the photos and videos from SD card to hard drive folder.
OK. I am now totally confused... please start over with your story - in detail, step-by-step from the beginning or before. (SD Card? Pictures from some camera? - start there)
Sorry, I'm kind of in a manic state right now because of what happened 😟.
I transferred my photos and videos from device (gopro) to hard drive
by dragging all the files from gopro to the folder in hard drive.
I did not copy them (command c). I just highlighted all (command a),
and dragged the bunch in the designated folder.
I pressed undo (command z) by accident, and all my transferred photos and videos disappeared.
I tried to redo (shift-command z), but it wouldn't do it.
Why not repeat the drag & drop process again? Surely you did not not wipe the SD card before verifying that all was well?
My boyfriend deleted the files from the card.
