Hi all, I have some older songs made in Logic Pro that I'm trying to open in Logic Pro X. Some songs open fine but others just bring up the template chooser window. If anyone know of any workarounds for this it would be much appreciated.

Try using the STI feature to import the tracks, one by one from the problem projects, into a new project in LPX
This may help identify what is tripping up certain projects such as a missing or incompatible 3rd party plugin you have/had installed.

But back to your question directly, it depends on the version they were created and saved in. If you have your previous version of Logic, hopefully it is version 9, save in that version, they'll update fine. I'm not sure what the cut-off version for updating to LPX version 10.2 is.
