Snow Leopard install quits

Hi Everyone,

Still can't boot my iMAC. 8gb ram 1TB HD

It is a 2009 year model.

Came with Snow Leopard.

1. Have the install disk 10.6.8

2. Start computer and get folder with ? flashing.

3. Command R will not go to restore screen

4. Connected to my older imac via firewire.

5. Re-format HD MAC Ext. journaled

6. Disk utility says disk is OK.

7. try and install from host comp.

8. See screen shots of disk info and install.

9 It will install for about 10 minutes then the host computer quits and restarts.

Can anyone please tell me what is wrong?

Thanks

Paul

Update. Apple could not help me so I took it to ubreakifix and it took them a week but they got it up and running with Snow Leopard. The clerks had no idea what they did just, reinstalled the Snow Leopard I had. I went back to ask and they aren't talking. I wish I could explain but I can't.

Thanks for your help

Paul
