putting in a retard/tempo change, and a new time signature
Is it possible to put in a retard or tempo change in the middle of a song? I have done it, but it isnt how I want it, I export the part of track that I want to be slowed down at the slower tempo and then import it back into garage band and turn the click off when I get to that spot in the song.
Also, can I add a 3/4 measure into a song that is in 4/4? just to change things up?
I have no idea on any ways to do the later of my questions.
Thanks

Yeah that's how I would do it. Put your newly imported audio onto its own track. Delete a portion of the old track so you don't have to do any clicking when it gets to that part of the song. Then drag the rest of the song (past the retard) back to the end of the ******** part.
Hopefully your song won't sound as ******** as this explanation.
The only clever thing I was able to do was use AudioHijack and while it is playing (and recording) slowly adjust the tempo accordingly. Then I import the AIFF.
Really, really stupid. A tempo controller in the Master Track was put in a Top-ten of needed additions to GarageBand, and it was ignored. What did we get? Podcast bloat. Ugh!
