Trouble sharing my movie on my Macbook Pro

I am having trouble sharing my movie on my Macbook Pro. When I click "Share" it goes through the entire process, but doesn't show up anywhere. Thus far, I have tried sharing to the desktop, iTunes, Youtube, and Facebook, but none work. The movie is about 14 minutes long. My goal is to convert them to Quicktime, then upload them to Youtube.
