I understand that your customer's notes are not updating across all his devices. Let's see if we can figure out why that is.
The reason for that might be that he upgraded Notes on his iPhone. Doing that included new features for the Notes app like drawing, interactive checklist and other features. Those features are only available on iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan. If he is not running that on his computer, then the notes will not sync up until OS X El Capitan is released. That release date is September 30th.
