iphone 4s cable not recognized after ios 9 upgrade

My windows 7 PC does not recognize my charging cable after I upgraded my iphone 4s to ios 9. It is the original 30 pin cable that came with the phone. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas.

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.0.1, Sprint service
