iOS 9 Camera While Playing Music

I got my 6s Plus today and noticed that my music mutes when I open the camera app. This ONLY used to happen when you were in video mode. I've listened to music and taken photos on every single other iPhone I've had, so I really hope this is just a bug. This is a big deal to me - I do a lot of my photo work while I listen to music.

I tried turning off the "LIVE" feature in photo mode, but that didn't work. I tried pausing the music, opening the camera, then unpausing using the headphone button, but that just blurs the camera and doesn't allow you to take a photo.

Is this just a bug?
