Dec 8, 2015 11:00 AM in response to Liese Schwarzby jockeapa,Just installed 9.2, my 6s still stops music when switching to camera, only improvement is you don't need to press play again when switching back to your music... yay....
So the taking-photos-when-listening-to-music-dysfunctionality still there i'm afraid...

Dec 8, 2015 12:43 PM in response to Kjzeeby Liese Schwarz,Potentially good news! I hear from Apple that update 9.2 should drop later today, and it has camera fixes in it. Fingers crossed that this is among them.

Dec 10, 2015 7:56 AM in response to JoantUbedaby Liese Schwarz,Yeah, me too. How disappointing.
When I spoke to Apple yesterday, the advisor (Dustin) said the update would fix it. That was just his guess, though. He did agree that this was not a desirable loss of functionality - so I didn't get the "this is how it's supposed to work" line that others have reported getting.
Apple, you are really making me sad.

Dec 13, 2015 10:58 AM in response to Liese Schwarzby Jokermtb ,The new iOS 9.2 Update did NOT fix this annoying issue where if you are streaming music, and wish to take a photo (even with 'live photo' turned off), the streaming sound will stop. I was having a party last night, streaming audio (Spotify), and chose not to take photos because I knew I'd lose the music and everyone would get all ***. Thanks Apple for this stupid glitch that also annoys.

Dec 13, 2015 4:32 PM in response to Kjzeeby Ambush083,I have a similar issue where I CAN'T take a photo when music is playing VIA bluetooth. The screen doesn't focus and has a blur effect and the camera is disabled. It's really pissesme off since most times this happens I need to take a picture fast and can't get those shots I want. I paid out the _ _ _ for an iPhone 6s and this is a bunch of rubbish.

Dec 16, 2015 8:01 AM in response to Kjzeeby JasmineMoats,Any fix for this yet? I'm still having this problem, even with the newest update & Live Photos turned off.

Dec 16, 2015 8:19 AM in response to JasmineMoatsby JasmineMoats,Btw - just got got off the phone with apple support. No known solution but they are working on it for the next update. Support suggested trying to restore phone/settings/whatever to see if that might work. I haven't backed up my phone recently so I didn't try it.
just wanted to share my experience to save people the time of calling.
hopefully this will be resolved soon. Pretty lame that after spending severa hundred dollars on this phone everyone is waiting months and months for a fix. I haven't even used Live Photos once so it's a huge drawback in my opinion.

Dec 26, 2015 10:00 PM in response to jockeapaby pianoboy,Spent some time on the phone with Apple support today. They indicated, as previous posters have said, that this was intended as a 'feature' to keep any audio from interfering with the new 'live' feature and video. Fat lot of good that does when you're trying to shoot a video of your kid singing along with "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" on Spotify on the same phone.
Seriously, gang, fix this - at the very least, make it an option that can be disabled. Even if it's not an option, I am certain your users can exercise enough grey matter to pause background music if they want to shoot video. I hope this simple, simple fix does not escape you in the next (and hopefully soon-to-arrive) update.
Thanks.

Jan 8, 2016 9:27 AM in response to Kjzeeby Erick143,Yep it is indeed a draw back. But one that Apple can solve on next update. I realized other 3rd party Camera app works without the music interrupted. FYI

Jan 22, 2016 9:29 AM in response to Boymarvalby TeugeusCromis,This issue persists, even after updating my iPhone 6s to 9.2.1

Jan 28, 2016 2:13 AM in response to Kjzeeby Casipai,I am so frustrated! Neither in 9.2.1, nor in newer Betas Apple allows me to listen to music while taking a picture! Are the developers not using their products in the analogue life? Really, this is not what Apple used to be! At this point I'm asking myself if I really want to be told by Apple what I'm allowed to do. Every iPhone works this way: Listening to music and taking a picture – but on iPhone 6S they implemented the raged live photo feature. I really can’t believe it. If there was a choice for using a different camera app as a standard app, this wouldn’t be a problem though …

Jan 29, 2016 4:09 AM in response to Casipaiby Rebuhj,Just got the iPhone 6s Plus and inmediately ran into this problem. I take pictures of my daughter dancing or of family at gatherings while playing music via the phone all the time. Apparently Apple engineers don't have children or gatherings. Or they don't use iPhones ! This really needs to be fixed for photos so it can be like every other iPhone before it. Should be fixed for video too but I learned to deal with that.
