verification failed iPhone 6s

I have successfully activated my new iPhone 6 w/ Verizon but I can't actually get into my phone.

At Apple ID login, it spins and then says "Verification failed. There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server"


It's been going on for about an hour.

Anyone else?
