Q: Transfers not working

I have my iPhone and iPad set to backup to iCloud.  Once a week I still do a manual backup to my MacBook, via iTunes.  In the past I would be prompted to transfer my purchases, which could be  music, new or updated apps.  It does not do that anymore since iOS9.  Also, if I try to do a manual transfer it seems to only do a new item, not updated ones.  For me, this makes the entire backup process very suspect.

I suspect this is a bug in either the new iTunes or iOS9.  Apple needs to fix this.  Is anyone else having this issue. I think there is another issue in this community about this but Apple is not responding with a fix.  I really do not want to hear this is a change or "feature".  It is a negative.  Backups must be solid and transfers are part of that process.

Thanks,

iPhone 6.  iPad Air 2, Macbook Pro (Yosemite. iTunes 12.3)

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion, Contacts Program

No your not the only one !!

See: Transfer Purchases no longer working

Looks like its intentional. I followed this post for awhile but seems like Apple took it away, so now have come to the conclusion just to do updates on my iPad and again on iTunes.

I can't imagine Apple taking it away, not even in one of their more surreal moments. It's really annoying for everybody especially as I had a nce easy Sunday morning after going to iOS 9 and thought it would be a good idea to follow The Rocket Yard's method of cleaning up the whole app library in iTunes which has left them all sitting in Trash. Unless I'm a complete dumbo I can't see how to restore the back into iTunes even manually. So my phone's apps can't be backed up at all. And I'm f*d if I have to do updates twice each time. It's a nonsense. Dear Apple, please sort this out.....
