Q: Is there any way possible I can connect a 1080p and use the iMac 5K as an external display? Such as connecting a PS3?

I would like to connect my PS3 (which only runs up to 1080p) to my new iMac 5K using my thunderbolt to HDMI cable.

iMac with Retina 5K display, iOS 9.0.1

Sorry to be abrupt, but the answer is no. Please carefully read Target Display Mode: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), specifically where it says, "The iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) and iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, Mid 2015) can't be used as Target Display Mode displays."
