Q: 3d touch not working

just got new 6s myself and had the same problem.

try .... go

settings>general>accessibility>3d touch

and turn the feature off once.

turn the phone off ... back on

then go back & turn the feature  'on' again,

as someone already mentioned, even you set the touch sensitivity to "light"

you do have to press firm.....

I got mine 6s today 3d touch was working perfect but after update from 9.0 to 9.0.2 facebook app does not respond anymore with 3d touch.. Some solution?

If you get a small vibration after pressing on the FB icon, then the OS is responding. It is just that FB does not offer anything to do with 3D touch.

Im using iphone 6s. Ive change the settings for 3d touch to light but it seems everytime i touch the icon, the background just got blurred but no option comes out. done the hard reset but not yet restore. Its only happened once (the option comes out) when i bruttaly touching the icon. Anyone having same situation like me?

im having simillar issues with my iPhone 6s plus. 3D touch randomly works, it rarely works with icons at the bottom of the screen. I plan to visit an Apple Store soon if this problem doesn't fix itself.

can you give an update after visiting apple store later? i hope theres no need to exchange the unit

I will. I've also noticed issues with my keyboard... Every now and then it fails to type a letter and then the phone vibrates, which is weird. I think the issue might be software related. I'm going to try to wipe the phone and reinstal/restore.

After i restore my phone now finally the 3D touch works. Its worth to try before going to apple store

So my iPhone seems to be working normally today. I didnt have to anything... I'm pretty sure what's happening is a software glitch... If it happens again, I'll restore my phone

After you change the sensitivity to light, power your phone off then power it back on agaiin. Only tried the 3D function in camera and it worked!!

You're pushing just hard enough to edit the apps, move them around, delete them, etc. You just needed to press harder immediately and you'll feel a little click and the contextual pops up.
