ios9 slide to upgrade problem with a new laptop/itunes app.

I upgraded my old ipad2 from ios7 to ios9 and it's got the dreaded slide to upgrade problem.

I have been attempting to do the reboot fix mentioned in various forums whilst connected to itunes but I can't. I have a new laptop and as I connect the ipad, it wants to do the usual recognition step itunes is asking. I cannot complete that step as it means I should be pressing the 'Trust' button on the ipad - which of course I cannot as it is stuck at slide to upgrade.

My old laptop the ipad was backed up to is completely dead due to the windows blue screen of death problem so that's not an option. I seem to have a bit of a tech curse on me at the moment eh ? Although I did fix the Microsoft OS10 iphone driver default problem so at least I did manage that OK (don't you just love it when Apple and Microsoft provide all these lovely upgrades that are chock full of major bugs - their testing and quality control is not what it should be !)

So how do I get this ios9 problem fixed in this situation then folks ? Any clues ?

Hi C,

Yes, have authorised laptop already but itunes sees the ipad as a new bit of kit and asks for permission for itunes to access the ipad. To give the permission it is usually a case of answering the Trust/Do not Trust question on the ipad itself but of course I cannot do this bit.

I did this action OK when I connected my iphone 4s to itunes on the new laptop. I have not updated ios on my iphone though.
