I've upgraded my 5s to 9.0.1 this morning. Not sure of the sequence of operations, but the phone is frozen!! Screen is half filled with message center and rest is inaccessible!! I can't even turn of the phone!!

If I understand correctly, since updating to iOS 9.0.1 your iPhone 5s isn't responding and you aren't able to turn it off. What message is displayed on the iPhone? If you haven't already, try restarting your iPhone 5s as shown in the article below.

Thank you Jason. Apparently I was so locked out that I couldn't access the slider after a hard press to restart!! So, I had let the phone drain and it got restarted and now I'm all set!!
