my dvd is burning green

when it's output to disk, the
picture is green. what should i do?

When played in your computer, a set-top DVD player, or both?

It - green picture - doesn't sound like any iDVD problem I've heard about.

What is the source of your original video content?

It was a DVD that I recorded to BETA SP, ingested it to Media 100, formatted it as an uncompressed QT file

I guess I'm not surprised that with all the format conversion, your colors might be a little 'flaky'.

...easy buddy, I'm trying to help you here. I've read ALL your posts, but you still haven't told me more about the actual format sent to iDVD - saying simply 'uncompressed video' doesn't really tell me much.

I've been helping on this form for several years and the only time I can remember problem symptoms like yours, a cable between a DVD player and TV set was disconnected. That's why I asked if the disc played OK in your computer and you said it did, eliminating that possibility.

Preview only plays the raw input files. It appears that QuickTime will play your file fine, but the MPG-2 encoding process doesn't like your file.

This happens and sometimes files won't encode - again - I've not heard of GREEN problems.
