Q: iPhone 6s Distorted Sound

Another one for this problem. Listen to any security now podcast. Voice distorts. Seems to me male voices at low frequencies. Third phone now and same issue. Any low note piano track noticeable.

People, please try the track on Itunes "Agnes Obel- Chord Left" and you wil now if your phone have this problem ! My iPhone distorts too ! We have to complain to Apple.

That piano track is a good example. I have to bring down my speaker volume indicator 5 full notches to eliminate any speaker distortion.

Sounds awful! Apple, shame on you! Steve would never allow such quickies

Its a shame ! If anyone knows someone on media, please report this situation !!!!!!!!! Apple can't do this to clients !!!!!!! The speaker sound on iPhone 6s is awful!!!!

i am press reporter in punjabi news channel (Jus Punjabi). it is not easy to raise topic in media on just a simple speaker issue. unless someone file complaint against apple legally than we will raise this issue and make it viral on news. which force apple ti take immediate action

Gunnu0503, thanks for the help, I am trying to gather as many people as possible to come up with a complaint against APPLE. We have to get them to admit the error and replace the phones or the damaged hardware part, or at least, to make an update to solve the problem once for all...

They are very expensive phones, we can´t make this situation pass without doing nothing.

Please count me in.  What do I need to do to help.  I already wrote to the Apple support site and I received emails that they are trying to reach me, but I have not received any messages.  Just let me know what to do. Thanks.

exactly raise complaint than we will surely help you... m also having same problem in my iphone 6. even in my replaced Phone (brand new) .never expect this from apple.. apple is known for design and quality.. if this continued than apple will soon loose its market.

hello Puds111 just raise complaint in consumer court regarding cheap quality equipment  used in high end device.. and bitter response by costumer support.. and ask for settlement. this will automatically makes this issue viral on media level ..

Today I bought another iPhone 6s ... the same problem with the speaker . I am very disappointed apple , it's probably my last iPhone

Easy way to demo. try the male voice for siri. distortion.  this is not going to be fixed by software. i plan to return it and let apple find me a phone that is not defective. i have my 5 until that time.

Received my new replacement iPhone 6s, it came with iOS 9.0.1 if that's any sign of its age, and of course the problem is not fixed...still buzzes like crazy on higher volumes.

If you want to bring out the worst in this problem, go into the Music settings and change your EQ to "Late Night" and then play the piano track referenced earlier, "Agnes Obel- Chord Left."

Of course, if you plug in any ear buds the track sounds fine at all volumes and with any EQ.

I don't even have to put it on late night for it to sound distorted.  I have to try to get a replacement.  Will be my third trip to the Apple Store plus a few calls to customer care. No one would replace my phone. They don't hear the distortion. But how can they when they are listening in a noisy store. I'm really disgusted at this point.

I had the same problem, so i decided to bring my iphone 6s to an apple store, they substitute it with another one brand new, i tryed it and the same problem appeared again, i made an upgrade to IOS 9.2 beta 2 and the problem was fixed, no distortion in any ringtone, clip and music. Hope this could help
