I'm trying to alphabetize various already created bookmarks within a tab group ... is there a way to do this versus drag and drop ? i have between 25 - 50 bookmarks within various tab groups.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Back up all data.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Bookmarks ▹ Show Bookmarks
or press the key combination option-command-B.
Select the bookmark folders you want to sort and drag them to the Desktop. A file folder will appear there with the name of each bookmark folder you dragged.
Delete the selected bookmark folders in the Safari window.
Drag the file folders you created on the Desktop into the Safari window. The bookmarks will be sorted alphabetically.
Delete the file folders.

windows internet explorer has the simplest and most strait forward way of sorting > > > a simple right click of mouse and select sort . . .
maybe apple will adopt that approach some day
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
