Q: ARD 3.8.4 stuck in connecting prompt
Hi All,
I recently migrated my old working mac to a new mac retina.
And I'm trying to use ARD 3.8.4 from my home mac to connect to this new working mac.
Both mac's system are up to date (10.10.5).
I was able to connect to the new working mac and control it at first, but somehow it was always shows offline on my "All Computers" list (but it actually online).
So I delete it from my "All Computers" list and added it again from "Scanner" list, and it actually shows correctly with the "online" and "offline" status.
But when I try to control the new working mac again, it shows the connecting prompt and hanging there like forever:
No mater how many time I try, and reboot both macs for several times, it just didn't work, still hanging in that connection prompt.
I even try to use "sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -restart -agent"
to restart the service on working mac, or completely delete my ARD admin and reinstall it on my home mac.
And it never works. Always hanging in that connecting prompt and not able to control or observe the working mac.
I've tried the solution on this: Apple Remote Desktop: Configuring remotely via command line (kickstart) - Apple Support
and search for possible solutions. But didn't find one.
Is there anyone can help?
Thanks
