How do I enter a number of spaces in a javascript widget

I have a number of html/javascript widgets in my iBooks. I would like to format information in the textFields and I'm thinking the only way might be to use spaces. I haven't been able to find the right 'character'. %20, \u0020 don't seem to work. For now I'm using ... but that's not a good solution. This is within a javascript textField. I'm using iAd Producer as the widget editor.

Any suggestions.

Thanks, David
