Sep 26, 2015 5:51 PM in response to Pottygolferby Demo,What install/remove buttons are you talking about? There is an install button next to an app in the App Store when you download one, but I have never seen a remove button. You delete apps by holding down on the icon until it wiggles then tap the X to delete the app.
IF you cannot in install certain apps, you might have some sort of content Restrictions set up in Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Content>Apps.

Sep 29, 2015 4:57 AM in response to Demoby Pottygolfer,Thanks Demo,
the button is on my computer.
I run windows
when I plug my phone in I can install or remove from Apps tab in my Iphone link in the devices folder in the ITunes program after it has finished syncing etc.
when I plug my IPad in, the install / remove options are all greyed out. Inactive..
they are all inactive.
my wife's iPhone works ok.
seems to have started when I got new computer. Possibly....?
here is a side thought.
at some point the computer said something about accepting / authorizing 5 from 5 devices..?
is there a limit to how many different things can run off a single computer..
Thanks for the help

Sep 29, 2015 5:47 AM in response to Pottygolferby Demo,You can have up to 10 devices associated with an Apple ID. That could be the problem.
View and remove associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
You can only have 5 computers at a time authorized with your Apple ID.
