Take it somewhere else and try it (preferably an Apple store) you'll find it works just dandy. The problems at your end.

I Don't think the Apple Store has a second generation Apple TV floating around or an iPhone 5s. Since the streaming stops when the phone screen sleeps uts more likely the phone.

Take yours just like I suggested you did, you're avoiding the matter, it will work just like mine does.

I have a similar issue with AirPlay on my ipad2 that upgraded to 9.1. The mirroring option under AirPlay never appears for the X-Mirage program but it still works fine on my 8.4 ipad2 as well as my iPhone 5 will older OS. I'm pretty sure there's some bug and I'm reluctant to let the second ipad2 upgrade and have it broken as well.

I did and it didn't work either. This update to IOS 9 broke the Airplay capability. I wanna it back.

ios 9 update on ipad and 6plus took away my airplay and NO winston, you are wrong nothing incorrectly done on our end. Seeing as how I'm a computer programer and hubby is a commincarions specilist. We are fairly well versed on clicking on the right button.

There is no problem with AirPlay on iOS, mine works perfectly fine. You are free to believe whatever you want, but while you continue to believe the problem is with the software rather than your set up, it will stay unresolved. Good luck.

As are you free to believe what you want. However the proof is in the pudding. Numerous updates numerous loss of AirPlay. Blame the auto met is poor poor customer service, period.

The proof is indeed in the pudding, I have the same software as you but different 3rd party equipment, if we get different results where do you think the difference arises from.

Put your misguided theory to the test, take your device to the Apple store on a controlled network and see if it works there.

I'm on ipad 9.2.1. Before this update my airplay worked fine, mirroring my iPad to my macbook. Now with everything exactly the same, except for an iPad update to 9.2.1, the mirroring option is gone. the iPad sees the macbook in control centre but their is NO mirror toggle button. Tried reflector, tried air server and air parrot. No mirror toggle button. I've posted on the iPad discussions but have had no response.

I actually tried to use the Apple online chat support.Specified  my rquest for iPad, Airplay not working , got the chat window which said there was about 2 minute waiting list, waited for over 40 minutes, abandoned it, tried again an hour later to be told " access denied, you don't have permission to access this page etc"  ???

I Just upgraded to a new 4th generation Apple TV and the problem has disappeared. I think this mostly affected the 2nd generation appLe tv.

AAnd Winston it's unrealistic to expect people to hook a genius appointment and take their equipment yo an App,e Store. Maybe you have a lot of time on your hands but most of us have jobs and other responsibilities. Your ******* suggestion of rebooting everything assumes that people don't regularly reboot products for a variety of reasons. I know a software problem when I see it and it's fairly clear that App,e has not been testing their software adequately on old hardware. At least some of us are trying to solve the problems.

Seraphim88, thank you posting!  I replaced my router for a Technicolor one and at same time updated my IPAD2 to OS 9.2.1, experienced  streaming/buffering problems on Hulu, Dramafever, etc. when using IPAD2 to AirPlay to TV.  Tried several recommended fixes to no avail, switching to 5GHz Wifi worked for me!!  Thanks to whoever first recommended to this.
