iPhone 6 and 6S restarts when restoring from iTunes 12.4

I have upgraded both 6 and 6S phones to the latest IOS and have upgraded iTunes to version 12.4. Restoring various previous images to either phone does not work. It keeps stating that the phone has disconnected.
