my new Iphone 6s has out of date itunes and can't sinc with backup

I was told about this problem yesterday when i got iphone 6s

What you need to do is restore iphone back to factory settings

Set up as a new iphone then download software ios 9.1

Over your wifi then restore again to factory setting.

Then you will not have a problem and can restore from

Your backup i had to restore from a date in August but

It all works fine now do this over your wifi.

Hi Andy your problem is your pc since ios 7 you can do almost everything over your WiFi

We have 2 iphones / 3 iPads & have not used our PC for them for over 2 years

I found pc caused problems so i just back up my iPhone/ iPad to iCloud over WiFi

All my software updates are done over WiFi .

Have you had any luck with this issue? I have just bought a new Iphone6s and having the same problem!!

The method I use is to connect them to my mac, carry out the update using iTunes, then I'm able to carry out a restore.
