It says in play back controls that the Sleep Timer " Sleep Timer lets you automatically stop playback of an audio podcast after a certain amount of time" . It sounds fantastic and would be awesome if it worked. 1 out of 10 times the time worked. There was nothing wrong with the old version and it should have been left alone.

The timer has been working fairly well for me so far, on an iPhone 5, but others have posted that stopping at the end of the current episode isn't working.
One improvement I've noticed: if I press the "15 minutes" timer again, when there's only a minute or so left, it now resets to 15 minutes. It didn't use to do that.
The not so funny thing is that the timer seems to work sometimes, then again, sometimes it doesn't.
It has happened to me several times that the timer did not stop. So, I ended up waking up in the morning with the iPhone still playing podcasts (it was supposed to stop playback after 30 minutes). 😉
The iOS sleep timer works reliably. The app's timer does not work very often.
Sleep timer is defective junk.
