Sep 27, 2015 3:06 AM in response to gooner1969by Jonathan UK,On your iPhone: Settings > Facebook > Settings > Notifications:
- Check that notifications are enabled.
- Try turning this setting off, pausing for a few moments, then turning it back on again.
- Also ensure that Show on Lock Screen is enabled and check your Alert Style When Unlocked.
On your iPhone, in the Apple Watch app: My Watch > Notifications - under Mirror iPhone Alerts from:
- Check that Facebook is enabled.
- Try turning this setting off, pausing for a few moments, then turning it back on again.
It may also help to restart both your iPhone and your watch. Turn them both off first, then restart your iPhone first:
- To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag the slider to turn off;
- To turn it on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo. -
Sep 27, 2015 9:50 AM in response to Jonathan UKby gooner1969,Thanks for the reply, I had already tried most of what you suggested so I gave it another go to no joy. Time to restore back to iOS 1 where everything ran smoothly for me. Even on the photo album clock face I get no red dot notification at all. The only thing I'll miss about iOS 2 is 70 second wake tap

Sep 27, 2015 11:30 AM in response to Jonathan UKby gooner1969,I Had already tried that too, just wondering if it's the new Facebook updates or watch update. Watch notifications and haptics have always been inconsistent though

Sep 27, 2015 2:06 PM in response to gooner1969by Jonathan UK,Have you taken into account that Notifications behave differently depending on how your watch is configured?
When you have Wrist Detection enabled ^, your devices deliver notifications in a way that aims to avoid unnecessary duplication:
- If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your Apple Watch.
- If your iPhone is locked or asleep and your Apple Watch is unlocked and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your Apple Watch.
- If your watch is locked, notifications will go to your iPhone.

Sep 27, 2015 11:18 PM in response to Jonathan UKby gooner1969,Tried all of those but it's just not going to work. I've had my watch since April 24th so I'm aware of all the settings. I'm curious to know if anyone else's has changed since the update. If I go back to iOS 1 and alls ok then it has to be a fault in iOS 2 update. Previously Facebook notifications would only work if banners were on and I've tried all different ways in iOS 2. What's weird is in 1 I wouldn't get text message notifications if the phone was unlocked but in 2 I do get them to the watch 1st at least 7 times out of 10

It is not possible to downgrade your watch from watchOS 2 to watchOS 1.0.1

Sep 28, 2015 1:52 AM in response to Jonathan UKby gooner1969,I did actually wonder if thats possible because normally it isn't but when I unpaired my watch and went to re-pair it showed back up from iOS 1 but obviously that won't be the software as well. No worries I'll jump have to accept it now, already feels like a downgrade but hopefully it will change again soon. Thanks for your replies

More generally, you may find that it helps to improve connectivity if you reset the network settings on your iPhone. You will need to re-establish all saved Wi-Fi connections again afterwards if you do this, so have your password ready:
- Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Then restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch (both off, then restart your iPhone first).

Oct 1, 2015 11:54 AM in response to gooner1969by Mike Zanker,Just to add that I also have this problem. Brand new iPhone 6s Plus, brand new Apple Watch running watchOS 2. Facebook is the only app on my phone that I'm not receiving notifications for on my watch. I get the badge count on the Facebook icon on the iPhone but nothing on the watch. If the watch is off my wrist (I have wrist detection and pass code on) then the phone does receive the notifications.
Hopefully either Facebook or Apple will sort this one out.

Oct 4, 2015 4:54 AM in response to Mike Zankerby Mike Zanker,OK, so it appears that it was temporary - I'm now getting FB notifications on the watch. They just started working without me doing anything

Oct 4, 2015 11:06 AM in response to Mike Zankerby gooner1969,Doesn't work for me although I have had notifications just twice. Can I asked what notifications for facebook you have on your phone. Before iOS 2 I would only get facebook notifications on the watch if the phones notification for FB were set to banners.
