Q: HOW DO YOU UPGRADE FROM 10.5.8 TO 10.6.6 ON AN EMAC?

I would like some help I currently have an apple emac installed with software 10.5.8 and I am finding it slow. how do I upgrade 10.5.8 to 10.6.6? Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

The eMac is not capable of running Snow Leopard (10.6).

As Stedman1 says, 10.5.8 is as far as any eMac can go... what exactly is slow on it?

A lack of adequate RAM or a hard drive that is filled beyond 75% capacity will slow things down considerably. As others have pointed out, your system software is maxed.

Thank you for your help I think the emac is so old now it just needs replacing with a newer model, everything on the mac is slow and some websites we cannot access because of the software. Will be upgrading soon. thanks

thanks I haver now decided to upgrade the emac as I thinking you are correct the emac is upgraded too is max.
