App Store - Not allowed to download (free) apps without completing card details.

I have a 5th gen iPod Touch that was recently updated to IOS 9 and since then, I have not been able to download free apps, mags etc. without entering my card info. Today I updated the software to IOS 9.0.1 thinking that it would solve the problem... however, it still will not allow me to install them. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, do you know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Charlotte 🙂

Maybe:

Why can’t I select None when I edit my payment information?

Create a NEW account/ID using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
