my keypad won't type P anymore

My keypad on the phone won't type the "P" letter and the backspace is hard but works sometimes. It seems to be the right side of the keypad. What do I do?

Greetings Perry Morgan,

Thank you for being a part of the Apple Support Communities and for taking the time to post this question!

It sounds like you are having some issues with touch screen response on the right side on your iPhone’s display. To begin troubleshooting, I suggest reading over and working through the suggested steps in the attached article.

Check your touchscreen

Make sure that your hands are clean and dry, then try these steps:

  1. If you have a case or screen protector on your device, try removing it.
  2. Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
  3. Unplug your device.
  4. Restart your device. If you can't restart it, you can force restart your device.

If your touchscreen still doesn't respond like it should, contact Apple Support or take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
