When I swipe up either on my lock screen or my home screen my phone freezes and I am not able to access the features of the bottom bar. Started happening after the recent iOS 9.0.1 update

Try a Reboot press & hold power button& menu button
Hold both down until you see Apple Logo .
If that doesn't help restore back to factory settings .
That will get rid of any bugs .
