how do i connect my macbook pro to a dcp-135c brother printer?

I have a USB that I can connect to my macbook pro from the printer but I can't get my pages to print as the printer isn't connected to my macbook pro

should be no problem (am I optimistic or what?).. go to the Apple symbol at the top left of your screen, then system preferences, then Printing and faxing. click on the plus button to add a printer, then choose the model number/brand name , and it should get the relevant software for you. or go to support.brother.com, choose your printer's model no. (here, dcp 135-c) choose mac, and then your OS (10.9, 10.10, whatever you have), download the correct driver and install it as per the instructions with it. I don't know if it does wireless printing or not....
