Q: Trackpad button not working?

I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium, and the mouse button isn't working.  When I boot the computer up, the button works, but as soon as I touch the trackpad, it stops working.  When I plug in a mouse, it works, but once again, when I touch the trackpad, left-clicking doesn't work.  Right-clicking still works though.  What should I do to fix this?

Go to system Preferences > Trackpad and see if the click functions are reversed. My PBG4 with OS 10.4 is loaned out right now so I can't check teh actual layout of the pref. Control click is the same as a right click. Does that work?

Control click works after I reboot the computer.  It only works once until I reboot it again.  When I plug in a mouse, right click works constantly, but I have to reboot the computer to get the left click to work with a mouse.
