I have an app that I paid over $30 for on my ipad, but would like to be able to access it off of my computer as well without having to repurchase it. Is this possible?

Generally the Mac App is different from the iPad and sometimes even the iPhone device as well. It really depends on the App. It will let you know pretty quick. I tend to ignore developers that do this, including some Apple Apps.

I like Fantastical. It's a bit expensive and unlike other apps that have a Mac and an iOS version, this developer charges separately for the Mac, the iPhone & the iPad versions. So I get hit up for $55 + tax ($39.99, 5.99 & 9.99) to upgrade all three with version 2!

You need to buy the Mac OS X version of it separately. The developers need to create each one individually, and may choose to charge for both.

Yes, you have to purchase the version for the Mac if there is one.
Thanks. I was really hoping that wasn't the case since it was so expensive, and even more on the mac store.
If this is any consolation, the app for the Mac will most likely do more then the one on your iPad can do.
