Move text box around screen?

I've been editing videos using an older version of iMovie, but this last week got a new Mac so now now have 10.10.9 version. I want to move text around the screen and position it in a specific area in my project, but there doesn't seem to be any option for this in the title formatting menu, it only lets you have text where the premade title cards place it. Is there a way to fix this and move text to other places on the screen?

I've seen recent tutorials of people having to make text in photoshop then insert the image, but that seems ridiculous for such a simple task. Been pretty unimpressed with the "new" features this version has, making it more of a hassle for basic editing.
