Parental restrictions disabled but apps still missing

I downloaded the cbeebies app for my kids to play with and tried to set up parental restrictions so they couldn't call China by mistake.

I couldn't figure out how to make it work despite following the Apple instructions - press home button 3 times in quick succession etc etc - so i disbaled it but now lots of my apps are missing and i can't seem to find out how to reinstate them.

Could someone suggest what's going on?

Thanks

Thanks for your response sberman.

The link you sent are the instructions i was following but i can't now find where the click 3 times instructions came from.

I didn't actually make any changes when i was following these intructions though. Just created a passcode and enabled the restrictions so i didn't chose any specific apps to restrict.

These are the instructions i was following:

To enable Guided Access, open the app you want to lock the device to — for example, whatever educational app or game you want your kid to use. Quickly press the Home button three times and the Guided Access screen will appear. From here, you can further lock down the app.Oct 21, 2014
