Am I the only person that thinks that adults in a family sharing account should be able to pay for their own purchases, instead of the "family organizer"? I think Apple should fix this!

Hello,

I have family sharing set up on my iTunes account and there are about 4 members, all of whom are adults. The problem that I'm having is that each time they make a purchase I am charged. So, since they are adults, I can not enable the "ask-to-buy" feature that will alert me and gain my approval for any purchases. Therefore, they forget that it is me that pays for any purchases they make & get get stuck with the payment.

Can anyone help me? Or offer advice to work around this issue besides updating the payment info each time someone other than myself makes a purchase, I fond that route to be unrealistic and annoying.

Thanks.

I agree. All I wanted to do is buy Apple Music for my family. Now I'm stuck with paying for all their purchases. Does not work as advertised from Apple Music, or it's at least mis-leading.

1. Family sharing should give the ability to share, but each member should be able to purchase using their own payment method

2. I should be able to pay for my family's Apple music without having to activate Family Sharing

3. I should be able to determine what purchases actually take place if a member is using my credit card
