Apple Maps Not Working in iOS 9

Mine is still broken on 9.0.1... maybe a server-side issue?

I still have this issue even with 9.0.2.

I have the same problem in 9.0.1 and 9.0.2, both using WiFi and cellular.

The following steps resolved my problem (iPhone 5, IOS 9.0.2):

1) Under Automatically Back Up in iTunes, select This computer, and under Manually Back Up and Restore, select Back Up Now to back up iPhone to computer (probably could back up to iCloud, but I chose computer.) Then,

2) In iTunes, select Restore iPhone, and set up as New phone when prompted. Then,

3) In iTunes, select Restore Backup. Then,

4) In iTunes, select Sync, to sync iPhone.

Apple Maps function was fully restored, with no loss of apps, data, or settings.

same problem on my iPhone 5S after ipdate to 9.0 , now i have 9.0.2 but still same problem, Apple maps does not download maps (standard view) however satellite and hybrid view works fine.

i have iPhone 6+ and iPad 4 on 9.0.1 but no issue

i have tried soft reset (iPhone 5S) but still no luck

After 9.0.2 my apple maps app will no longer add new locations to contacts even after clicking that option and "saving" as a new contact. They just are not there. Other apps like yellow pages will add contacts so I know it is not an issue with my exchange server. Anyone else notice this?

I have the same problem and it wasn't fixed in 9.0.2. My maps don't work in any of my other apps either, such as Find My iPhone or Zillow or anything that uses it. I just get a blank grid. I've tried hard reset, toggling the location services on and off.

Can you see hybrid and satellite view, because I have only issue in standard apple map view in all apps (find my iPhone, find my friends, Maps, etc) ,, only empty grid

Some people are still having this issue with 9.0.2.

No idea what I did or didn't do but mine is working fine now.

It does work in Satellite and Hybrid. I hadn't checked those because I never use them. Thanks, that helps!

Your fix worked for me! I just upgraded to an iPhone 6s, but when I installed the latest IOS 9.0.2, Apple Maps would only display a grid. Now, Maps is working fine within other apps as well.

I am having this problem (iPhone6s, IOS 9.0.2) where maps just brings up an empty grid. Did you apply the backup/restore process to a config close to mine?
