transport music from ipod back to laptop

how can i transport all the music i have in my ipod back into my laptop. my lap top was sent out for service and had to be restored to its original state. please tell me i don't have to search for and download all 1500 aongs again!!!

Yes. You can back up your music using a third party program. Here are some compatible with windows:
