IOS 9.0.1 won't USB tether to Windows 10

After updating iPhone and iTunes my iPhone won't USB tether to my laptop anymore. I'm using an iPhone 5s with IOS 9.0.1 and iTunes 12.3 version. My laptop running Windows 10.

Before updating never had any problems with USB tethering. I tried rebooting both laptop and iPhone. I tried updating the iPhone driver software through device manager but it says "Windows could not find driver software for your device".

Would like to note that my iPhone has no problems with being detected by iTunes as i can manage music and back up and etc.

Perhaps I need an updated driver? Please advice thank you.

This exact same thing is happening to me. Its driving me nuts.

iTunes has no problem seeing the iphone. Syncing, transfering music...all good.

What about when i want to copy photos / videos from my phone... I used to be able to do this. Windows is no longer recognising the it as a device and it is no longer available through 'My Computer'.

iTunes...fine.

Windows...NOT FINE.

I have done a full clean reinstall of itunes, and I have tried several different iPhones (iPhone 4s, 5s, 6 Plus) and there is no diference.

When going into Device Manager to "Update Driver Software" i continue to get "Windows was unable to install your iPhone"

PLEASE HELP! I need to get photos and videos off my phones.

For anyone having this problem still, the solution is here http://www.technipages.com/itunes-fix-iphone-or-ipod-not-detected-in-windows however the directory listed in the tutorial is not correct. Instead of using a driver from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers you need to go toC:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\NetDriversThis will allow windows to detect your iPhone as a network adapter 🙂 I just figured this out and thought I'd share
