Q: How to Remove Advanced Mac Cleaner Virus

I have just noticed on My Macbook Air that window pop up on my Macbook Air apps Advanced Mac Cleaner and inform me that its start to scan my Mac and save my Macbook from errors.

Last night my younger brother was used my Macbook Air and i suppose accidentally he was installed this utility. Is it good for my Mac or should i uninstalled it right now.  Because scan is complete already and its shows me 1389 Errors on my Macbook Air. Should i purchase this tool full version or remove it. because on other discussion thread on apple website here i just noticed that everyone share their bad experience and recommended to uninstall.  Advanced Mac Cleaner is fake virus utility. What to do now. Should i remove these 1389 errors or uninstall it

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

    If you have the Advanced Mac Cleaner virus, the MacKeeper virus, or something of the sort, please quickly remove the app from the applications folder! These viruses are very dangerous and they have been spreading very quickly this past week!

    Hello and thanks for you information. When LaunchAgents opens for me. I see more than just the "com.pcv" files in that folder. I also have "com.adobe.. com.google.. com.mentmac and a few others. Do I delete those as well? I'm guessing not. Thanks in advance for your additional help regarding this matter.

    If you have "com.adobe" files and you have any adobe product, don't worry about it. If you have never had any adobe product on your mac, go ahead and delete it as a precaution. As far as the others go, I have them as well and they aren't causing me any problems.

    I've also done more research on the virus, and it apparently installs a hidden application called "Mac File Opener." Please search your mac for this app or any of its files, especially any plist files with that name. It's all part of the virus.

    If you can create a short QuickTime screen recording of your plist and applications lists, I would be glad to check them out. I have no doubt that you're fine, but considering the severity of this malware, I would have no trouble helping anyone with this issue. I have already had to fix my mother's MacBook because of this issue, so I know what's up.

    Cheers!

    * Edited

    Accidentally followed the outdated steps by Linc Davis. I also thought you were Linc Davis, sorry for the confusion!

    I really appreciate your prompt response. I just deleted the one "com.pcv" file that you mentioned and kept all the others. I also just ran a search and checked my apps folder and did not find the "Mac File Opener".

    I have never used Quicktime to create a screen recording of my plist and applications before and I'm not sure how to go about the process.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    This really does work, no need for any other solution guys, saves loads of time, and also finds and removes any other pesky Malware your Mac may have picked up, only works on OSX 10.8 and upwards though.

    This is exactly how I acquired "Advanced Mac Cleaner," and now even when attempting to close the program it says nothing other than "NA" and refuses to be sent to the trash. In the past I have had this virus and removed it fairly easily, however this time has been much more invasive and impossible to remove. Considering the method of how it got in in the first place, thought you'd be a good person to seek advice from! Any such luck?
