I've connected my apple book to Apple TV and Apple TV with HDMI to a projector. The projector has really bad speakers and no audio out. Is it possible split the audio and video so I get the audio thru my computer instead of thru the projector?

well if you connect something to the optical outport of appletv 1,2 and 3 it plays out of it
also when hdmi is connected
you can't change anything in the settings which will add something like rca or minijack analogue output though
