can we approve the request with our touch id instead of typing out the password?
When my child asks for an app i have to put in my password....can i just use my touch id for it.

Yes, in 'Settings>Touch ID & Passcode', you can slide the tab (iTunes & App Store) that will let you use your fingerprint instead of your Apple ID password in iTunes and App Store. Unless you mean for the family share where you approve purchases, I would think that this would let you do the Touch ID as well...
