Q: iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage getting stuck

My iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage gets stuck frequently. Like for example, it will say 87% all day, and then I'll plug it in for an hour, and it will still say 87%.

The only fix I've found is to power the phone off and then turn it back on. Then the percentage will update correctly, and will usually continue to update properly for awhile. But eventually it gets stuck again.

In the 3 days since it was delivered on Friday, I've had to reboot my iPhone 6s Plus at least four times to fix this issue.

    iOS9.2 fixed the issue!

Now I can change the date for more lives of Candy Crush anytime without stress.

I hope it works for everybody here.

I want to add that after receiving a new iPhone at the Apple store yesterday I keep having the same problem.

I even went so far as to restoring the new iPhone to factory settings and content. I didn't log into my apple ID, neither did I load ANY apps or content BUT I still had the problem. Stuck at 78%, plugged into power, restarted, percentage at 95%. This is seriously ******* me off.

My phone doesn't feel like my phone anymore because I keep having to try new things, restoring, changing apps etc. @Apple please fix this!

OK I have been having this issue also I did everything from resetting it and setting up as new as the suggested. It's not iOS 9.1 but it is happening with 9.2nand the even replaced my phone also and yep it's still happening.  I play toy blast and do go to changing my time to restore lives but I don't think that's it either and if it is why only on the iPhone 6s Plus is there any one with the 6s having the issue too doing that.

I have this Issue and i wasnt able to fix it, but i know what i have been doing recently in order for this bug to appear which is changing the date and time into a future date in order to get heroes revived in Tap Titan Game .

AnyHow i have the latest Iphone 6s 128GB + latest IOS 9.2, and this problem is for both IOS 9.2 and the previous version.

Temporary fix is to restart the phone.

I have also faced same issue when battery gets stuck a percentage while charging. I got a solution after trying multiple things. Below is it-

    1. Install a battery management app like battery doctor.

    2. Disable percentage in top right corner using settings-batter-show battery percentage.

    3. Charge the phone to 100%. You can see the percentage when you plug in the charger.

    4. Use the iPhone until it Goes off i.e. Full discharge.

    5. Again repeat step 3 and 4.

    6. Done. I did not enable battery percentage in top right corner and using battery doctor to get the percenrage left. So far no issues, I am getting accurate percentage.

I Think issue is with continued monitoring of percentage in top right corner. Disable it and using above it is again accurately showing percentage

I have the same problem since I got my phone last month, it happens almost everyday and its very annoying to restart each time just to get the right battery percentage to show up. I have iPhone 6s Plus 16gb and updating to iOS 9.2 did not fix the problem.

Only solution i`ve found so far,is to install battery management app like battery doctor, run app while charging the phone, and switch off auto-lock option in app itself. This way phone will charge normally and show true percentage
